Judy Haberek is originally from northeast Ohio and was graduated from Kent State University. She spent most of her life in the Washington, DC area where she worked on Capitol Hill and wrote and edited newsletters. She later received a landscape design certificate from George Washington University and pivoted to take care of people's yards. When D.C. traffic became unbearable, she moved to the eastern shore of Maryland and worked for the National Park Service at Assateague Island National Seashore. Then came retirement and later a move to Florida. Plants and animals and the fate of this planet have always been a priority no matter where the location.
