Presentation: What Can We Do About Climate Change? - Scientists agree that we can halt the rising temperatures, but only if we take action decisively and quickly. What are the needed actions? Come see for yourself using EN-ROADS, a global climate simulator that allows users to explore the impact that dozens of policies—such as electrifying transport, pricing carbon, and improving agricultural practices—have on hundreds of factors like energy prices, temperature, air quality, and sea level rise.

Legislative Delegation Presentations - Director Katherine Sutherland, Director Judy Haberek, and member Karen Freedman all spoke to the state legislators from Polk County regarding the need to act on climate issues, including the need to add the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funds to the next state budget.

Lakeland Drive Electric Day -
Hundreds of visitors explored eighteen electric vehicles including trucks, SUVs, and six new models brought by Lakeland Ford/Hyundai, two of which were used for test drives. A big "Thank You!" to the EV owners, our volunteers, Lakeland Electric, and Lakeland Ford.

Climate Action Now Party - We participated in a Zoom meeting about the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Governor DeSantis veto of the money Florida could have received to help Floridians, especially in underserved communities. We learned how to take action on the Climate Action Now App to fight against the veto.
